We are currently looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and outgoing software developer to join our Special Ops team.


The Role

Go1’s Special Ops team focuses on enabling new strategic opportunities and facilitating large-scale onboarding to drive Go1’s rapidly scaling business. 

The senior software developer will design and deliver technical solutions with the team.  They will be instrumental in the delivery approach and upholding standards to turn product requirements into valuable integrations for customers and partners. 


About You

You will be a creative problem solver who actively engages with senior stakeholders and vendors to translate long term goals into short term product iterations.  Gathering requirements, analysing platforms and building integrations will be your forte.  You will be experienced with modern identity, authorisation and authentication standards, and quick to learn new ecosystems.


You will be excited to run Agile development processes in a multi-discipline team of designers, product and engineering professionals to deliver first-to-market features.


Your Responsibilities

  • Contribute to:
    • Requirements gathering with vendors, partners and customers
    • Technical design of business solutions
    • Ownership and direction of technical domains
    • Go1’s developer experience
    • Mentorship of junior staff
  • Take ownership of long-term technical strategies to deliver business goals
  • Drive strong Agile development practices


Selection Criteria

A successful applicant must have the following:

  • A degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in similar roles


A successful applicant should have advanced or better skills in most of the following:

  • PHP, NodeJS, Typescript
  • Common Authorisation and Authentication standards (such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect or SAML)
  • Common database products (such as MySQL, Redis or MongoDB)
  • Azure and Active Directory environments
  • API integrations (such as REST, GQL, SOAP)
  • E2E testing frameworks and strategies


A successful applicant might have skills in the following:

  • Graph databases, data science or ML
  • React and React-based component libraries
  • Microservice architecture
  • Event driven architecture
  • Continuous integration and delivery
