We are currently looking for a QA Engineer to help scale our quality processes as we rapidly expand our engineering efforts, helping us to continue to focus on creating a great customer experience.

 

The Role

We aspire to build in quality from the very start. From feature inception all the way to maintenance. The role will be responsible for maintaining our high-quality standards and making sure the right tools, talent and processes (conversions) are happening throughout the development process. This include being ingrained culturally. The QA engineer will work in a product feature team, helping other team members to understand and implement quality

 

About You

You will be a champion and advocate for testing culture. You will have proven, time and time again, the value of introducing the right practices at the earliest possible stage so that planning, estimation, breakdown and release are predictable. You will be experienced in a range of tools and techniques and know quickly the right solution for the problem.

 

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Work closely with engineers to build quality into our product from design to launch (a quality mindset)
  • Support the implementation of quality within the agile development process from sprint kick off to production deployment
  • Maintain the guidelines, tools and practices for quality assurance and quality testing
  • Understanding, documenting, and testing customer use cases and desired outcomes to improve testing quality
  • Reviewing team stories and work to validate quality approach and implementation (desk checks)
  • Help maintain the integrity and reliability of Go1’s automation test harness and environments which support the development process

 

Selection Criteria

A successful applicant must have the following:

  • A degree in a relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 3-5 years' experience as a quality engineer working in a range of business or product
  • Experience writing test plans and leading the testing strategy within a small team
  • Experience implementing automation and testing tools

 

A successful applicant should have advanced or better skills in most of the following:

  • Recent or current software development experience in any opensource language
  • Experience with Codeception, Test Café or similar tools A successful applicant might have skills in the following:
  • Experience with contract testing
